The dive sites around Tobago are marked with black x's where the towns are colors of blue.

Tobago is totally unspoiled as far as Development. They call it the last of the "unspoiled caribbean". This strip of island is just 41 by 14 kilometres, and with its' rolling hills, palm-lined beaches, lush tropical rain forests and pristine coral reefs, it is a wonderful secret to explore.

The south (windward) coast is colored by a dark lush green color, the waves splash in from the Atlantic and nestled all along its' shores are fishing villages. On the north (leeward) coast, Tobago has some of its most beautiful beaches. On the mainland, the "eastern landscape of the interior rises steeply into tall peaks, providing shelter for the oldest protected rainforest reserve in the western hemisphere"*.

Trinidad and Tobago are the southernmost islands of the Caribbean archipelago, and are geologically an extension of the South American continent.

Trinidad is separated from Venezuela by the seven (7) mile (11km) straits of the Gulf of Paria.

Trinidad and Tobago comprises 1,980 square miles (5128km2). The territory enjoys a tropical climate with average maximum temperatures of 32°C, (89°F). Tobago's temperatures are cooler, owing to the more constant north east trade winds. There is a dry season from January to May and a wet season from June to December. Annual rainfall is about 200 cm (40 inches) over most of the country. Tobago is just south of the hurricane belt.

Useful Facts: The official language is English. The local currency is Trinidad and Tobago dollar (TT$) (TTD1=100 Cents). A floating rate system is in force. Currently $1US=$6.24TT; $1CDN = $4.48TT.
