Live-Aboard Dive Courses

Open Water Checkout (referrals) - - - $180 (4 Dives)
If you have completed the bookwork and pool sessions and have a referral letter from your instructor for PADI Open Water Certification, the completion dives can be performed on board with the vesselâs instructors. The skills you have already learned at home will be reviewed in this two-day course. Open Water completion dives are only available on some of the vessels, so please call for availability.

Advanced Open Water ** - - - $200
This course will introduce you to different areas of diving. There are two core dives which include navigation (compass and natural) and deep diving. Three dives may be chosen from the following electives: Night diving, Boat Diving, Multilevel Diving, Search and Recovery, Underwater Naturalist or Underwater Photography (a $50 usd surcharge covers digital camera rental).

Deep Diver - - - $125 (no book required)
This course will familiarize divers with the skills, knowledge, planning, organization procedures, techniques, problems, hazards and enjoyment of diving between the depths of 60'--130' in four dives.

Night Diver --- $125 (no book required)
This course will enable you to organize and safely conduct night dives. There are three dives during which you will implement the techniques and skills learned during the course.

Paul Humann/Reef Fish Identification Course - - - $70
Do you know the name of everyone you dive with? This course includes membership in the Reef Environmental Education Foundation which is an active organization of divers helping to protect the marine environment through research and education. (Only available in the Caribbean).

Paul Humann/Reef Creature Identification Course - - - $70
Two fun--filled dives to help you with the identification process of some of the world's more curious looking creatures. (Only available in the Caribbean)

Nitrox Certification Course** - - - $150
These courses will enable you to learn about the safe use of enriched air technology. Includes two supervised enriched air dives. Available on Sun Dancer II, Wind Dancer and Star Dancer.

Nitrox Completion Course - - -$50
PADI or TDI certification. This consists of two dives and may require that the student re-take the written test if the referral is from any agency other than PADI or TDI.

* Educational Materials Requirements: If you are seeking a PADI certification for these courses, PADI Standards require that each student purchase their own individual textbook and slates to complete this course. We encourage our students who wish to complete these courses to visit their local dive center prior to arrival to purchase these materials and bring them with you. This will allow you to study for your course in a relaxed environment prior to your arrival. Students who do not bring their materials with them must bring proof of ownership of the manuals or purchase them on board. On board purchases will be drop-shipped to your home.
