This is eastern Caribbean diving at its finest; pristine reefs, steep walls, dramatic wrecks, and towering underwater pinnacles! The reef profiles change with each mooring, and the marine life and topography change on nearly every dive. And there's simply, for every traveler, the alluring call to add "Bequia", "Canuan", "Mystique", and a host of other unusual islands to their log books and memories... The underwater landscape is also dotted with some great macro critters and unusual subjects for dusk/night dives as well (seahorses, flying gurnards, orange ball anemones, and batfish, just to name a few). Grenada and the Grenadines are the perfect fit for a one
week live-aboard vacation in the Caribbean. Indeed, it
would be impossible to visit all of the dive sites we'll be going to in
TWO weeks, even if you could arrange for the land operators to get you to
the great diving. So not only do we have a great destination that
has not seen a lot of divers, but our flexible itinerary will get you to
the very best diving the region has to offer! But the fun doesn't stop here. We're saving some of the best for last… We'll also cruise to the National Park of the Tobago Cays, which is dotted with small islets and simply stunning above and below water. Offshore, Sail Rock beckons, one of the best dive sites in the entire Caribbean! On the return trip, we'll visit any of the areas we missed on the way out, plus make at least one dive on the legendary "Bianca C", arguably the largest ship wreck in the Caribbean, and the passenger liner wreck (she sank in 1961) was NOT sunk as an artificial reef! Underwater conditions are always an important factor at the Bianca C (this is an advanced wreck dive), and we will only dive the wreck when weather and currents are favorable. . While many of the sites in Grenada are in calm water, we do also expect to do some one-way "drift" diving in certain areas as well. Absolutely no effort! All diving will be done from our two 25' Fiber Glass tenders, powered by twin outboards and outfitted with easily accessible "re-boarding" ladders. Topside cruising is pretty magnificent, nearly always in sight of land, and unusual islands and cays are your breakfast and sun-down companions. With two tenders, trips to shore and deserted beaches can easily be arranged. Underwater, expect the very unusual these days, an untouched Caribbean. Even for very experienced Caribbean divers, it will be hard to ignore the call of this unique and unusual diving itinerary... |

This will make east coast U.S. travel to Grenada even easier, and perfect for a summer/fall getaway. Grenada is also served by American Airlines through its San
Juan Connection, with connecting flights to nearly all U.S. American Airlines
airports. |
