In this special edition of PHD's DivEmail, we'd like to share a story and some photos of one of the most exciting projects we've ever tackled, the building of the M/V Paradise Dancer. While our guests are familiar with many of our vessels currently in service, and the amenities we provide on every cruise, the Paradise Dancer (141 ft, 43m) will be the largest vessel in our fleet, yet still only cater to 18 passengers in true luxury style. There will be a crew of 19 to ensure top quality service. Paradise Dancer will explore the magnificent reefs and marine life in the heart of the world famous "Coral Triangle" (encompassing much of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea). Operating out of North Sulawesi, this brand new motor sailer will feature the most ambitious itinerary (cruising the Sangihe Islands) of any liveaboard in the region. As you read this, Indonesian and Malaysian shipwrights are building the M/V Paradise Dancer in the tropical rain forest of Kalimantan, Borneo. These shipwrights labor in a centuries old tradition of woodworking passed from father to son, and with simple, basic tools. Yet their vessels are among the strongest and most durable on the seas today... So, we invite you to see how a "Dancer Is Born", and journey with us to the tropical rainforests of Borneo... Just click on the Slide Show below to begin your adventure, and, as always, Please Dive Ocean Minded, Peter |
