The areas that we dive will be East Flores, the Alor island and as attraction a working volcano 30 Miles north of Alor.

These cruises will offer lots of critter diving but we'll also look for the shark areas and around the volcano we can expect lots of dog tuna and other big stuff... the area is also known for whale sightings. In the south of one of the islands there are still villagers who hunt whales...from small sloops...by hand...spectacular!!

Day 1 - Embarkation
Aircraft arrives at 03:00 pm. Transfer to vessel. Vessel orientation and briefing. The waiver ceremony. Gearing up. Photo check. There could be time for a dive on this afternoon.

Day 2 - Diving and transit - Lembata/Pantar/Buaya/Alor
Dive 1 - North Kawala, Lembata - reef/wall. Dive 2 - Pulau Lapan, Pantar - reef/wall. Dive 3 - Cave Point, Pulau Buaya - reef/wall. Dive 4 - Wowal - South West Kalabahi Sound, Alor - muck.

Scenery. While the vessel is in transit there is plenty of opportunity to view the spectacular scenery - volcanoes whales etc.

Day 3 - Diving Pulau Kumba/Pura/Alor
Dive 1 - Kal's Dream - sea mount. Dive 2 - Schools Out - reef. Dive 3 - Clownfish Valley - very special sloping reef. Dive 4 - Alor Kecil, northern side of Kalabahi Sound - muck.

About Alor Kecil. The entrance to the Kalabahi Sound is relatively narrow, around 1.5K across. Close to the northern entrance there is a village and the dive in front of here was done 4 times during this day. A sloping bottom comprised mainly of silt, sand and small rocks, very few coral heads. Plenty of Ghost Pipefishes, Cockatoo Waspfish and Seahorses.

Day 4 - Beang Bay, Pantar
Dive 1 - Beang Bay. Dive 2 - Southern Wall. Dive 3 - Ribbon Eels Run. Dive 4 - Beang Bay.

About Beang Bay. Beang Bay is on the south-east coast of the island of Pantar and has a simple small village and school, only accessible from the sea. It is a sheltered bay about 1.5 kilometres across. The bottom composition is gravelly sand and this habitat supports a great deal of macro life. When we were last there we did 11 dives and spotted, amongst a lot of other stuff, two Rhinopias.

Day 5 - East Pantar/North West Pura
Dive 1 – Elara Point – reef/wall. Dive 2 – Slab City – reef. Dive 3 - Solangbal Bay. Dive 4 – The Boardroom.

About the Alor/Pantar Strait. Linking the Banda and Savu seas, Selat Pantar is a narrow channel, and very much like Komodo’s Linta Strait, subject to very strong currents. Diving here has to be planned very carefully, but no reason that it can’t be done safely.

Day 6 – Kalabahi Sound, Alor/Pura
Dive 1 – The Pertamina Pier, Kalabahi – muck. Dive 2 – The Mini Wall – reef/muck. Dive 3 – Sharks Galore – reef/wall. Dive 4 – Nite Delight – reef.

Day 7– Ternate
Dive 1 – The Arch – reef/wall. Dive 2 – The Babylon – reef/wall. Dive 3 – Coral Cliffs – reef/wall. Dive 4 – The Edge – reef/wall.

About Ternate. Sitting in the middle of the Selat Pantar, Ternate is a round volcanic island. There is the opportunity to make a land excursion here. Textiles are sold by the local people.

Day 8– Buaya
Dive 1 – Cave Point – reef/wall. Dive 2 – Crocodile Rock – reef/wall. Dive 3 – Peter’s Prize – reef/wall. Dive 4 – Half Moon Bay – reef.

About Buaya. See Ternate

Day 9 - Kawalu/Adunara/Flores
Dive 1 - Tangung Bacatan Drop Off, Kawalu – reef/wall. 11:30 - Dive 2 - Pulau Ipet – reef/wall. Dive 3 - Tanjung Gedong – reef-wall. Dive 4 - Tanjung Gedong – reef/wall.

Day 10 - Pulau Babi/Pangabantang/Wodong - Flores
Dive 1 - Pulau Babi, The Crack – reef/wall/cave. Dive 2 - Pulau Pangabatang Garden South - reef. Dive 3 - Wodong Bay - shipwreck. Dive 4 - Wodong Bay - muck.
