2005 Hurricane Plan/Guarantee

Atlantic Hurricane Season June 01 – November 30:

These are the dates of the “official hurricane season” but it is also the time of some of the warmest, clearest & calmest waters in the Atlantic & Caribbean and therefore, offers some of the best diving conditions available all year. Hurricanes, while perhaps unlikely events, are unfortunately, a reality. For this reason Peter Hughes Diving, Inc & the Dancer Fleet® would like to offer you the following limited guarantee to protect your vacation interests in the event a named Hurricane or Tropical Storm causes you to miss some of the planned dives while on vacation with us.

Hurricane Plan:

In the event any Dancer Fleet® vessel is within the predicted track of any officially named Hurricane or Tropical Storm, (as predicted by NOAA) all passengers will be disembarked from the vessel in question at least twenty-four [24] hours prior to the predicted landfall of the Hurricane or Tropical Storm. Passengers will be accommodated ashore, at the discretion of the captain and at the expense of Peter Hughes Diving, Inc., at a place determined to be a safe haven depending upon location in question. Peter Hughes Diving, Inc.® will not supply any alcoholic beverages during the time ashore, not from aboard the vessel and not from the shore accommodation.

Hurricane Guarantee:

In the event your dive vacation aboard any Dancer Fleet® vessel is affected by the implementation of our Hurricane Plan and you miss one full day of diving (6 am until 10 pm) you will receive a 20% discount on a future trip aboard the SAME VESSEL on which your trip was interrupted, With two full days of missed diving you will receive a 50% discount. Three full days of missed diving entitles you to receive 60% discount. Four full days of missed diving entitles you to receive a 100% discount. Missed dives will be calculated by the Captain’s log. The value of the compensation will be based on the price you paid for the interrupted trip. The discount will apply to the price of the boat only and cannot be combined with any other discount. Travel must commence within one year of the date of your interrupted trip. Other conditions will apply.
